This blog post is going to be tons of random things that went on in June.
Kaitlin had to do a big project at the end of the year. All 7th and 8th graders have to do it.
It is called Expert Seminar. Each student picks a topic and does a
huge project surrounding it.
Kaitlin picked "Computer Animation". We even went to California Adventure
and she interviewed a artist there. This had to demonstrate their topic.
I came up with the idea of doing a jeopardy game with questions about computer animation.
She did an amazing job. I am so proud of her. She got an A on her project.
They had to dress up nice to give their presentation.
This is the day...Emily gets braces!!!
Ahhhh!
She was really excited and nervous.
The Ortho made such a big deal about it. It was
fun. She got a gift bag with a really nice tooth brush.
Each student at ILCS has to do a certain number of hours of community service.
Ashley has to do 10 and Emily 10 and Kaitlin 30.

Ashley was in the Drama Elective third trimester.
She loves it. She has so much energy.

FIELD TRIP!
I have to mention how much I LOVE this school. ILCS meets at two different campuses.
The Bryant Street Campus hold TK-1st grade and the California Street Campus holds
2nd-8th grade. At the end of 1st grade, the class goes on a field trip to the CSC campus.
A lot of the parents, where their oldest is in 1st, are kinda of nervous about their kids going to the
"big kid" campus. As we arrived at CSC, we went into the cafeteria first. The students got to see where they will eat and the school performances are held and learn of the rules.
As we walked out of the cafeteria, the middle school kids were getting out of their classes. They
asked why all these kids were over here. I said: These are the incoming 2nd graders and they
are getting a tour of the campus. They said: Oh cool! And all these middle school kids lined the walls of the hallway and gave the 1st graders all high fives and told them welcome to our school and told them how much they will love it. It was so spontaneous and very cool. The parents I was walking with were very impressed. I said that is how the kids at this school are.
We went in Mrs. Solano's 2nd grade classroom. I soooo want Ashley to get her next year.
She was so much fun and seemed like a fantastic teacher for Ashley.

Where they learned all about gardens and trees.
It was really cool.
We went to Life House Theater in Redlands and saw Heidi the play.
Kaitlin's friend was in in the play.
Emily had to have two teeth pulled. It cost 200.00
They were barely loose. And the permanent teeth grew outside the baby teeth so they were
NOT pushing the baby teeth out.
They numbed her up really good. But the teeth are gone.
COLONIAL DAY at school!
It was a great day. They did tons of stuff and had to dress up like pilgrims.
I did the corn silk doll booth.
We went to The Children's Discovery Museum
We have passes and they were about to expire.
The kids love this place and they had a blast.
