Our Little Author

Emily's first grade class had a Author's Tea.

We were so excited to go see Emily perform songs that she had been practicing.

Kaitlin and Ashley waiting patently for the program to start.

At the start of the year the teacher had the class pick out a name for the class.

They chose "The Mighty Mates". What a perfect class name!!!

The class did a cute little program. They each had a small speaking part

and sang a couple songs.

Then the teacher presented each child with the book they wrote!

It was so cool. Emily's book was called "The Pink Fire Breathing Dragon with Purple Eyes".

She did a great job.

Emily has done so well this year. We are so proud of her.

It is amazing how these teachers put so much time and effort in teaching these children.

I feel so blessed to have had so many great teachers teach our kids.

This teacher will always hold a special place in our hearts.

She has had Kaitlin two years and now Emily....hopefully Ashley will get her as well.

Ashley loves Emily's book!

Emily read it too her over and over again.

Emily loves to read.

I am amazed when I listen to Emily read at how well she reads.
