Camping Trip

Who goes camping the first weekend in February???

We do!!!

We had a blast!  The kids were so excited.

We picking them up after school and headed out to Joshua Tree.  I knew it was

going to be soooo cold.  So I packed tons of jackets and blankets.

The kids were fine, but I froze.  I even had my huge snow jacket on. 

It didnt get too cold until the middle of the night.  There are a lot

of things I'll do different next time.  But we still had fun.

 When we first got to the campsite, the pit was filled to the top

with sand and dirt.  Lucky we had a shovel.  The kids and I cleaned out the fire pit, while 

Mark set up the tent.

 Poor Ashley fell asleep by the fire.

 Mark put two sleeping bags together and all three girls slept together.  They were warm.

 Emily finally woke up.

I was awake for hours cause I was so cold.  Kaitlin and Ashley couldn't wait for

the sun to come up so they could climb the rocks.

 Mark made sausage and bacon and eggs for breakfast.

We had fun and cant wait to go again.
