Kaitlin's class was assigned to pick a California Mission,
and make a model of that mission and write a report.
Kaitlin picked the San Gabriel Mission.
Mark took Kaitlin to Michaels and they bought a kit.
All the kit had was the cardboard cut out.
Kaitlin painted and put the kit together.
Mark helped her with gluing it together.
The day before it was due, Kaitlin decided it looked too plain.
So, I had to take matters into my own hands :0)
The finished product.
I went to Micheals, and bought little rocks to make a path. I also got wooden palm trees for her to paint and some greenery.
The mission was known for its cattle they raised and for the leathers. It was also known for its crops it grew.
Kaitlin wrote the report for this mission in class. The night before this whole thing was due, Kaitlin came to me crying, that she didn't like what she wrote and that she was suppose to read it to the whole class.
So, we looked up everything we could find on that mission and wrote the report. Whew! I am so glad its done and turned it.

I remember my brother having to make a model of a mission. He picked San Juan Capistrano. I was so happy that we moved and went to a different school and I didn't have to do that project!
Yes, you are very lucky!!! I still have to do two more of these projects. Not happy!
