Thanksgiving 2009

This is what I woke up too on Thanksgiving Day!
The kids having a pretend Thanksgiving picinc.

This year I tried to be a better mom by letting the kids help
with the cooking for the Thanksgiving dinner.
They helped peel potatoes and did a great job.

Then I was done being a good mom and kicked them out of the kitchen.
We made yams, potatoes and green bean casserole.
I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
I was so glad when we left for thanksgiving dinner all the dishes was done
and put away and the house was clean and we got all the baking done.
The kids were spending the night at grandmas and I wanted to come home
to a clean house and not have to do anything :)

Everyone is all ready to eat.
Yum, Yum!
We had Thanksgiving at my grandpa's house.
After we ate we all went around the table and
said what we were thankful for.
Even the kids did and they did a really good job.

I got a new camera. It detect when the person is smiling and then will take the picture automatically. It is awesome.
So my dad didnt believe that it did that.
Here we are proving to him that it does work :)

We had a great Thanksgiving.
We have a lot to be grateful for.
We are so blessed.
I LOVE this day that we can all think about
all the many blessing in our life.
I am so thankful for the great family I come from.
I am so proud to be the granddaughter of such wonderful grandparents.
When my grandma passed away I thought to myself I was so lucky to be
her granddaughter and have spent the time I had with her.
