Christmas Eve

In our family, on my moms side we act out the story of baby Jesus.
We had to do this when we were little and now our kids "get" to do it.
Of my sibilings, I am the only one with kids. So my kids had to act out every charater of the story. My 16 year old cousin Chas, we forced in to acting the part of Joseph. Emily was Mary and my dad was the donkey. Then Emily also had to be a shepard and Kaitlin was the Angel.
It was funny to watch this little show they put on.
After the show, the kids sing a song or something.
Emily did a song she sang at her school Christmas program.
Notice the tree...whoever brought the tree forgot the top part.
So this is what it looked like.

Then comes the fun part...opening presents. This year we picked names for people to buy for. The adults each pick the name of someone in the family. Whoever wants to buys for the kids. Since my kids are the only grandkids, they get quite alot. Which they are very grateful for. So, last Christmas Kaitlin said she wanted glasses really bad. I bought her some sunglasses that looked like real glasses but not really. This year I found a pair of fashion glasses at Claire's in the mall. I thought Kaitlin would love these, and she does. She wears them all the time.

The girls got robes from grandma for when they spend the night.

We all had great fun! There was tons of good food. We were so glad Mark's parents came and could spend Christmas Eve with us. It was a fun evening spent with family.
